Thermal Gliding Field, Mountainaire AZ

The thermal flying field is located 5 miles south of Flagstaff. Drive south on I-17 and take the Mountainaire exit (#333). Drive East on Mountainaire Road, E. Kiowa and Comanche Road to Mountainaire Meadow

The Glider Pilots of the Flagstaff Flyers meet Sunday morning. Visitors are welcome.

• Held at Mountaineer Meadow (see map)
• Event Starts at 9:00 a.m. and ends at Noon
• Best of 3 - 20 minute flights in a 3 hour window
• Fly-off in case of tie
• Prize for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd
• $10.00 entry fee
• Glider event, bring high start if you have one
